How to Make a Flint Knife in RLCraft

Auto Draft 101

If you’re new to RLCraft, you might be confused about how to get tools. The good news is that you can craft flint tools, which are easier to make than stone or wooden ones.

Flint tools require flint shards, sticks, and plant string. Once players have these items, they can craft a Flint Knife.

1. Flint Shards

RLCraft is an extremely popular modpack that can be challenging to get used to. While it has many mods and features, there are a few basics you should know before jumping into the world of RLCraft.

Unlike standard Minecraft, you can’t punch trees in RLCraft and will need to find flint to make your first tools. You can break gravel blocks with your fists to harvest flint, then right-click on hard blocks like stone or cobblestone to break them into flint shards.

When you have flint shards, you can combine them with a stick to craft a Flint Knife. It’s a great emergency weapon that lets you hit grass, which is essential to obtaining Plant Fibers.

You can also use a Flint Knife to cut down trees. However, it is important to note that if you die, you won’t be able to respawn at your spawn point. You will be sent to a random location in the world.

2. Sticks

Sticks are the main crafting material in rlcraft, and players can use them to craft a wide variety of items. They are used to make tools, weapons, and fishing rods.

To get sticks, you need to break tree leaves and collect them from the ground. Once you have them, you can break them into flint shards to make a flint knife.

When you first begin to play rlcraft, you will need to chop trees down to get wood logs and planks. To make the most of your resources, it’s best to use an axe instead of punching down the wood with your fists.

Once you have a few wood logs and planks, you can process them into Sticks using the crafting interface. A single wood log can provide two wood planks or four sticks, depending on how they are processed.

To make a flint knife, you need to use the crafting menu to combine a Flint Shard, Plant String, and a Stick together. You can place the Stick on top of the flint shard, and the Plant String to the left of it.

3. Plant String

During the early part of rlcraft, a player can craft a flint knife and flint axe. These two tools are useful for cutting trees and for defending against enemies.

To make a flint knife, players must first find gravel, which is usually found near water sources or underwater. During the crafting process, they will need to dig up the gravel and break it over and over until they get flint.

Once the flint is obtained, players must then take it to a “hard” block (stone, bricks, etc.) and right-click on the top surface of the block to break it into flint shards.

Once a flint shard is on the bottom of the grid, place one piece of string fiber on top of it. Finally, place the flint shard on the right or left of the string fiber.

4. Flint Knife

A flint knife can be a useful tool for some players. It’s a great way to whack a mob in the face and is an effective alternative to a pickaxe when the going gets tough.

To get a flint knife players must first find gravel (see above), the most useful of the mineraloids, which is spawned in all manner of places, from beaches to oceans to mountain tops. In addition to being a useful resource for crafters of all types, it is also the source of the game’s signature bling bling – a shiny, albeit rare, flint crystal.

To make a flint shaped knife, all you need is a stick, one of the game’s fancy-pants shards and a crafting grid, and it will be a rewarding process if done correctly. You may even be able to repurpose the flint shard into a nifty little necklace or two. Getting the right one is a tad trickier than it looks, but the end result is worth the effort.
