New User registration

Because of the large volume of spammer we've had, I've gone to manual approval of users. I just went through and out of hundred of new requests, I've received only a few that looked legit, and the rest were obvious spammers. If you want to ensure that your new user registration gets approved, please send an email to me, with your username, explaining who you are, where you're from, how you found out about the board, etc. This will hopefully help new users from getting lost in the shuffle to reduce spammers on the board.

I am getting two or three spam emails a day. I am going to change my setting to allow PMs only from Mods and buddies

I'm going to make an ironic post - If you are new to the forum and trying to register if you had read this thread you'd realize you're supposed to email me. The irony is if you haven't read this thread, then you'll just be pissed off at me when I delete your account from the queue and you can't figure out why. At this point we're getting upwards of 100-150 spam accounts trying to be registered PER DAY! I took a week off from checking the queue and it had over 1600 registrants, all appearing to be spammers.

Please, if you are a legit knife collector or otherwise interested in participating in the forum, email me with a short description of who you are, what your collecting interest is, and what your USERNAME is so I can go into the tool and approve you.
